A condensed version of Tchaikovsky's classic ballet brings the fairy tale of Princess Aurora to life. An evil spell is cast over the Princess at her christening. On her 16th birthday she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and the kingdom falls into a 100-year sleep. The spell is finally broken when a handsome Prince awakens Sleeping Beauty with a kiss.
'Twas is the perfect way to begin your holiday season. This traditional expanded story, created through dance and set to familiar and favorite Christmas carols, will delight the senses of children of all ages. From decking the halls and visions of sugarplums to dancing stockings and prancing reindeer, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas will come alive on stage.
After the performance, the audience is invited on stage to talk to a special visitor from the North Pole.
A premier performance of the newest addition to the CARE repertoire! John Lithgow's delightful children's book, A Carnival of the Animals, provides the storyline for this original ballet, set to a composition by Saint-Saens. A young boy falls asleep in a Natural History Museum, and in his dreams the animals of the museum come to life and take on some of the characteristics of his family and friends.
