The Board of CARE Ballet recently announced the non-profit has been awarded a grant totally $12,500 toward operating expenses from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment from the Arts for the fiscal year 2019-20. This is the second year in a row that CARE Ballet has received a MACCA & NEA grant.
“CARE Ballet is leaping for joy for this ongoing support. We are a small arts organization so this level of support is crucial to our being able to achieve our mission—to grow an audience for classical ballet,” said Kate Cragwall, CARE Board President. “Our task now is to match this grant with donations from other supporters of CARE over the next year,” added Cragwall.
“It’s wonderful knowing the training of dancers and CARE productions are recognized at the State and National level with these grants of support,” added Heather Liskewitz, Artistic Director.
